"I'm sure this picture was taken in the beginning stages of my dad starting Chinchilla Ranching at his first property. Our Chinchilla Ranch in the 60s was purchased as a piece of land and all the buildings were purpose built to accommodate Chinchillas . In this article it states that Chinchillas were housed in a converted store room, which wasn't the case with the Ranch we had [later] in the 60s." -Mark Gillingham
